About UsI always feel compelled to apologize to my car after I hit a pothole because it can really hurt and damage the vehicle. Even if I have done everything in my power to avoid it, there is a sense that I could have significantly hurt the thing that does so very much for me. I recognize that travelling down the highway of life there are several potholes that are unavoidable, several U-Turns that have to be made and detours that have to be taken. Faith is kind of like my car. It has been through all of those things in all kinds of weather. It has sustained some bumps and cracks, and sometimes it has needed to be entirely renewed with maintenance and repair. Through everything that comes at me on this journey of life, there is always One who can take my brokenness and pain and patiently restore health and hope: Jesus Christ. Crossroads of Faith United Methodist Church is such a place where our faith can experience regular maintenance and repair in a way that begins to transform our daily lives. It is here that we have the ability to engage in a renewed form of faith as we experience a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and in the Holy Spirit. Crossroads of Faith is one of the youngest United Methodist congregations in Northern Illinois, situated on 10 acres of land that was donated with the vision of establishing a church where we Invite, Equip and Send people to be disciples of Jesus Christ. Known as the church-in-a-tent, we are a growing community of faith experiencing relevant contemporary worship in our all-weather structure that is complete with carpeting, walls, heat & air conditioning.
